I can’t believe I’ve lived in Austin for 10 months and I still haven’t been to the Salt Lick. Could someone please come visit me so I have an excuse to go?

Only two and a half weeks until I move to this beautiful city. I started packing today, and so far I’ve learned two things: 1) I’m lazy as hell and 2) I’m really bad at estimating how much stuff will fit into boxes. I had 6 smallish boxes (approximately 2ft x 1ft x 1ft) and one slightly larger one, and I was totally confident that they would fit my whole apartment. They just about fit all of my books. This is why I’m glad I decided to move 90 minutes away to a decent-sized apartment and not to a shoebox dorm in Brooklyn or Boston.
